My Story
Hi, I’m Michael Keeman—engineer, psychologist, public speaker, and, depending on the day, a person who can’t decide which of those I love more. But one thing is certain: I’ve always been driven by a singular question—How can we make this better? Whether it’s through technology, understanding human behavior, or simply solving problems that others find too daunting, that question is at the heart of everything I do.

How it all started
Let’s rewind. I started my career with a blend of psychology and tech, a curious mix that has taken me from R&D labs working with Olympic athletes to co-founding an AI-driven startup aimed at replacing recruiters. Along the way, I’ve led projects that you wouldn’t exactly call ordinary—like developing mobile diagnostic labs that can function as hospitals on wheels or piloting methods to reduce the physiological harm of extreme heat. All in a day’s work, right?
But perhaps the most fascinating (and humbling) part of this journey has been watching these ideas grow into real-world applications. Take the electronic health records system I developed for sports medicine—used at the Sochi 2014, Rio 2016, and Korea 2018 Olympics. Or the software I’ve helped scale that now touches over 50 million lives across Europe, the US, and the Middle East. When I say "I build things," I’m not just talking about code. I’m talking about impact.
The Global Dance
My work has taken me all over the globe—collaborating with talent in the UK, scaling platforms in the Middle East, and, of course, navigating the craziness of Global Startup World. It’s been a wild ride, filled with a healthy dose of challenges, lessons, and more late nights than I care to admit.
But here’s the thing: the thrill of solving problems, of creating something that didn’t exist before, and seeing it make a real difference? That never gets old. From co-founding Hattl Inc., an AI startup reimagining how recruitment works, to designing systems for Olympic athletes, I’ve always gravitated toward the intersection of innovation and practicality—where cool ideas meet real needs.
Why I Do What I Do
At the core of it all, my drive comes down to one thing: the people behind the technology. I believe that tech’s true potential isn’t in the code itself but in what it can do for the people using it. I’ve spent my career blending psychology with technology to answer the tough questions—How do we make this better for everyone involved?
And sure, while this journey has involved scaling massive systems, building AI startups, and working with Olympic athletes, it’s also been a process of discovery—figuring out how to create tech that doesn’t just function, but enhances the human experience.
What’s Next?
So, what’s next for me? Well, I’m still asking the same question I started with: How can we make this better? Whether it’s mentoring the next wave of innovators, speaking on stage, or diving into new projects that challenge the status quo, I’m still here—curious, driven, and maybe a little more experienced than when I started.
Let’s build something better, together.
